Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Why do you have special access to apartments that I don’t have? A: We are brokers ourselves who are fed up with broker fees. We have access to databases that are available exclusively to brokers.
- Q: What if you can’t find the landlord for an apartment I send you? Do I still have to pay? A: No. You will only pay for apartments that we can find landlords for.
- Q: Will landlords be willing to work directly with me? A: Yes. All of the management companies and landlords that we have access to handle their own showings and lease procedures just like brokers, only they do not charge fees.
- Q: What if the apartment is no longer available when I speak with the landlord? Will I get a refund? A: No. Unfortunately you are paying for our time to match links with apartments in our database (done by hand), and we can’t guarantee the accuracy of all information that we are receiving.
- Q: Which are the best links to send to you (i.e. most likely for you to find a landlord)? A: Generally speaking, the best links to send to us are the ones you see multiple times online. In other words, you may notice that some of the same listings pop up all over the internet. Well that is because they are an “open listing” likely from a management company that we work with as well.
- Q: What if I’ve already contacted the broker on an apartment, can I still use you to connect me through the landlord and save the fee? A: Yes, only if you have not signed any sort of fee disclosure agreement with the broker. Once you sign one of those, or if you’ve gone to see the apartment with them, then they earned that dreaded fee and we can’t do much to save you.
- Q: What kind of payment do you accept? A: We currently accept payment through PayPal or Dwolla, but are working on other payment methods. We will email you all payment options once we’ve confirmed the cost for your order.
